Local Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Woman of the Year Nominee Hosts Bluejack National Golf Tournament
Montgomery, Texas - Cailean Gysler, the owner of Cupcakes and Bubbles and a resident of Lake Conroe, will host the Bluejack National Golf Tournament on Tuesday, March 30, to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).
“Cancer patients don’t stop needing support or treatment because of the pandemic,” said Gysler, a nominee for the LLS Woman of the Year in 2021. “We must continue to raise awareness and funds for organizations like LLS, especially during this challenging time, so cancer patients don’t have to fight alone.”
Gysler, a cancer survivor herself, beat ovarian cancer 15 years ago and watched her cousin Lauren become diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when she was only 7 years old. Both Lauren’s aunt and mom also developed cancer and unfortunately lost their battles in 2007 and 2018, respectively.
“Participating in the Bluejack National Golf Tournament will help LLS continue to fund lifesaving cancer research around the world and improve the quality of life of patients and their families,” said Gysler.
Sponsored by Porsche North Houston, Complan USA, Howard Hughes, Givens Transportation, and Cupcakes and Bubbles, the Bluejack National Golf Tournament will include a champagne scramble with a variety of fun contests and prizes up for grabs. Top prizes include a 2020 Porsche Taycan 4S, a four-day, three-night stay at the famous French Lick Resort, a $500 shopping spree to Cuater by Travis Mathew, and a one-year supply of golf balls from Bridgestone Golf.
“2020 was a challenging year for so many reasons, and charities, in particular, were hit hard and need our ongoing support,” said Gysler. “I’m looking forward to the community rallying behind this event and helping the LLS advance its fight against cancer.”
The golf tournament will take place at the Bluejack National Golf Course, located at 4430 FM 1486 in Montgomery. Registration is open through March 15, and sponsorships are available now through March 4. For more information, visit caileanforlls.org.
